EAPN calls for greater coherence in EU policies to fight poverty

The European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) calls the Prime Ministers prior to the European Council for a democratic debate to ensure that the social dimension is not reduced to an instrument of economic policy but contributes to a vision for an EU based on social rights and solidarity. EAPN also presented its proposals to the Ministers for Social Affairs prior to the EPSCO Council on how to use major EU Instruments to ensure a stronger social dimension for the EU.
