MEPs support our proposal for amendments on bank accounts
At the beginning of September, MEPs had to table amendments on the proposal for a directive on the comparability of fees related to payment accounts, payment account switching and access to payment accounts with basic features. Social Platform sent to the Parliament 14 proposals for amendments on 6 articles that in our view are key to ensure access to basic payment accounts for all.
We are happy to see that 12 MEPs (including the rapporteur and four shadow rapporteurs) from 5 political groups (Greens, S&D, EPP, GUE, ALDE) have supported most of our amendments (13 proposals out of 14).
