Solidar: Silver Rose award winers
The SOLIDAR Silver Rose Awards were launched in 2000 to celebrate individuals and organisations whose extraordinary struggles contribute greatly to social justice and solidarity throughout the world. The 2013 winners include: Mamadú Sissé from Islamic Community of Tapada das Mercês and Mem Martins, Grainne O’Toole from Migrants Rights Centre Ireland and Mohammad Younis, Migrant Leader, U Maung Maung from Federation of Trade Unions-Myanmar, Guatemalan Indigenous Ixil Communities represented by Center for Human Rights Legal Action, and Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett.
