European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities: New Publication ‘Five good practices on support services and independent living’

The European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) launches this new publication outlining five models of good practices in Europe with regard to support services and the implementation of article 19 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

EASPD wishes to enhance the exchange of good practices as it increases awareness rising and has positive consequences on other entities. The constructive developments of one organisation can serve as inspiration and as example for others.

This report outlines five models of good practices in Europe regarding support services and the implementation of Article 19 of the UN CRPD (Living independently and being included in the community). The various models are based on testimonies and interviews of support services and users, which enable to approach the services from different perspectives.
