Mental Health Europe: MHE publishes statement on the long-term unemployment recommendation
Mental Health Europe (MHE) has published a statement on the recently adopted Council recommendation on the integration of the long-term unemployed into the labour market.
In this statement, MHE welcomes the recommendation and call for greater recognition of the different barriers that persons who experience long-term unemployment face including persons with psychosocial disabilities.
MHE calls on the EU to take effective action and adopt a strategy for combating long-term unemployment of persons with disabilities in line with the recommendations received from the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (the CRPD Committee) last year.
