‘Made in Social Europe’ exhibition displayed at different events

In May and June, Social Platform’s ‘Made in Social Europe’ exhibition was displayed at two events in Brussels. The exhibition brings together +25 inspiring practices to show how social projects, some of which are funded by the EU, give life to the principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights and have a real positive impact on people.
The practices are collected through our membership, which has a comprehensive understanding of social realities on the ground. It includes service providers, social economy enterprises, self-advocates, and human rights defenders, the majority of whom have direct experience of building inclusive societies in practice and can demonstrate what is possible.

The first event was the European Commission’s Annual Convention for Inclusive Growth, which took place on 20 May. This annual event brings together around 300 civil society organisations and policy-makers to discuss how to truly achieve inclusive growth. The topic of this year’s edition was ‘The future of Social Europe post-2020’.

The second event was the Civil Society Days, which took place on 12 and 13 June and was organised by the European Economic and Social Committee. This year’s edition brought together around 400 representatives participants and focused on ‘Sustainable Democracy in Europe’.
