Over the last few years, we have been working on certain employment issues, in particular related to quality of work and access to employment. As we want to enhance our work in this field, we will organise an Employment Working Party (EMPL WP) for our members from this year on, starting with its first meeting on January 22.

The main focus of the EMPL WP will be on access to employment, quality employment and progression in employment

Through the new working party, we will develop our proposals for the EU and member states to invest in the creation of quality and sustainable employment to counter the increase of precariousness, poor working conditions, labour market segmentation and in-work poverty and to guarantee decent wages and the right to work for people who are distant from the labour market.
